Illustrated by Yunyi Dai

Even the wildest among us longs for connection.

A solitary tiger lands on a mysterious island of black and orange cats. She teaches, shapes, and searches—hoping to find another like her. The cats are eager to learn, to transform, to roar. But as they change, so does she.

Told entirely through breathtaking art, The Last Tiger is a wordless meditation on identity, loss, and the parts of ourselves we leave behind in the search to be whole. Poetic and profound, this picture book invites young readers into a layered world where transformation is both beautiful and bittersweet. It is a quiet celebration of becoming and a tender hope that someone, somewhere, will meet us exactly as we are.
